Lawn Care Technician

Overview Village Green Landscapes is looking for a full-time Lawn Care Technician / Chemical Applicator . This position can work out of our St. Paul office location. Full-time year-round employment with the option for commercial snow removal in the winter months. Benefits eligibility with year-round employment. Position Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD insurances & 401K. Position Summary Our Lawn Care Technician position provides application of fertilizers and pesticides for lawn growth, tree and ornamental turf preservation, and weed control for our customer properties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for handling, mixing, and application of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and chemicals via dry and liquid machines Operates and maintains all equipment within company safety and preventive maintenance standards Maintains records of job status Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology to track and report jobs Works collaboratively with the team and company leadership Works autonomously, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast-paced and quickly evolving environment Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Commercial Pesticide Applicator license for core (A) and turf & ornaments (E) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Preferred Commercial Applicator license for aquatic (F) and insect control (S) Village Green Landscapes is a locally owned and operated full-scale landscape company serving the Twin City metro area with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
