Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough psychiatric assessments, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medication, and providing psychotherapy services. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients suffering from various mental health disorders
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as needed
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy based on evidence-based practices
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with confidentiality regulations
- Participate in interprofessional meetings to discuss patient cases and enhance treatment approaches
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with psychiatric specialization in the state of practice
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health
- Experience in mental health settings preferred
- Strong clinical skills and familiarity with evidence-based psychiatric treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development
