Lead Social Work/Psychology Clinician 

In this position, you will assist the Senior Psychologist – School Based in providing clinical leadership and guidance to social workers, psychologists, and LCAT’s. Ensure implementation of best practices in early childhood mental health, behavior management, and social-emotional development. Serve as a resource for complex behavioral and mental health cases. Promote a program-wide commitment to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to clinical staff within the department. Guide, advise, coach, and serve as an integral part of our employee clinical support system. Serve as an accountability partner, who will assist in setting clinical goals for department members, and encourage responsibility and commitment. Offer support and encouragement and serve as a role model. Clinical guidance, support & mentorship to include 

• Case consultation
• Fidelity monitoring
• New staff onboarding
• Support with IEP goal implementation in the classrooms/therapy sessions
• Teach/Coach/Supervise clinical staff (Psychologists/Social Workers) 

Requirements

• Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in: School Psychology or Clinical Psychology
• Appropriate state certification and/or licensure.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with young children with disabilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising staff.
• Must be physically able to handle all aspects of the supervision of the day-to-day activities of preschoolers which may include, but not limited to, running, bending, and lifting up to 25

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Experience supervising clinical staff
• Training or certification in behavioral frameworks such as The Pyramid Model
• Certified Safety Care Trainer (preferred) 
• Strong Leadership and team-building skills
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and early childhood mental health practices
• Experience working in multidisciplinary preschool special education settings
• Commitment to Positive Behavioral Supports and strengths-based practices
• Professional integrity and ethical clinical practice

Essential Functions

• Provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to clinical staff.
• Support onboarding and ongoing professional development of social work and psychology personnel
• Provide coaching, and resources related to social-emotional learning and behavior support
• Work collaboratively with educational leadership, teachers, related service professionals and families
• Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team
• Analyze service delivery effectiveness through data
• Make sound clinical and administrative decisions
• Conduct Staff performance evaluations
• Provide professional development
• Promote shared responsibility for student social-emotional development
• Provide leadership in selecting and implementing behavioral strategies and interventions
• Build staff capacity to support student social and emotional development
• Support department leadership in maintaining quality and service integrity
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Training and support to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate service delivery
• Contribute to ongoing program improvement and quality assurance efforts
• Interpret assessment data and assist in the development of treatment recommendations
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments. 
• Participate in crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation planning.
• Attend team and departmental meetings
• Partner with parents and caregivers to promote consistency between home and school behavioral supports
• Provide parent training, coaching, and resources related to social-emotional learning and behavior support
• Other duties and functions as determined by Leadership Administration

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 am - 3:15 pm.
