PAY RATE: $31.50 per hour

Job Purpose:


The Hot Line Lead is responsible for leading the execution of the hot line during service, ensuring food quality, timing, and team coordination are consistently maintained. This role sets the standard for performance, supports the kitchen team under pressure, and communicates closely with Expo and leadership to drive operational excellence. This person will serve as the last line of defense for our food. They will be responsible for catching incorrect menu items and providing coaching and feedback to the Wok & Noodle cooks.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Oversee the hot line during service, ensuring proper pace and ticket flow.
• Lead by example in cooking, plating, and maintaining quality standards.\t
• Train and coach hot line cooks on technique, timing, and station setup\t.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with recipes and safety standards.
• Conduct station checks and line sweeps to uphold cleanliness and organization.
• Identify and resolve equipment or supply issues in real time.
• Participate in line checks and quality assurance with the Hot Line Lead or Kitchen Managers.
• Uphold kitchen safety standards and immediately report any issues.
• Support prep, restocking, and end-of-shift breakdown as needed.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ year experience on a fast-paced hot line.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with wok or high-BTU cooking equipment.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Deep knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods in high heat.
• Leadership or trainer experience preferred.
