About the Role:

Wisewire is looking for a Delivery Intelligence Lead who can connect the dots between project execution, financial performance, staffing, and operational data.

\n

\n

This is not a traditional Project Manager role, and it is not a pure analytics or AI role.

\n

We need someone who understands how projects actually run (scope, timelines, budgets, hours, resources, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities) and can use that understanding to help us identify problems before they become delivery or financial issues.

\n

\n

You will work closely with our Leadership, Finance, and Operations teams to turn project information into meaningful insight: Where are we trending over budget? Where is capacity becoming a problem? Which projects are showing early signs of risk? What is driving the variance? What should we do about it?

\n

\n

The right person is comfortable getting into the details, asking questions, analyzing the numbers, improving the systems behind the work, and translating what they find into clear recommendations for leadership.

\n

\n

You do not need to come from EdTech. You do need to understand project delivery and financial performance, be highly comfortable working with data, and be interested in using AI and automation to make operational intelligence faster and more useful.

What You'll Do

\n

Monitor Project Delivery & Identify Risk Early

\n

\n
• Review project performance across timelines, scope, hours, budgets, staffing, dependencies, and deliverables.
\n
• Identify patterns and leading indicators that suggest a project may be heading toward a delivery, capacity, or financial problem.
\n
• Distinguish meaningful signals from normal project noise.
\n
• Investigate variances and help determine what is driving them.
\n
• Partner with project and program leaders to turn findings into corrective action.
\n

Connect Delivery to Financial Performance

\n

\n
• Track and analyze actual versus projected performance , including hours, budgets, burn rates, staffing, and project financials.
\n
• Help leadership understand the financial implications of delivery decisions.
\n
• Evaluate tradeoffs between cost, capacity, timeline, scope, and quality .
\n
• Partner closely with Finance to ensure operational and financial reporting tell the same story.
\n
• Surface trends that can improve future estimating, staffing, pricing, and project planning.
\n

Build Better Delivery Intelligence

\n

\n
• Develop practical dashboards, reports, trackers, and frameworks that make project health easier to understand.
\n
• Connect information across systems and workstreams to provide a clearer view of overall delivery performance.
\n
• Improve how we measure project health rather than relying solely on traditional status reporting.
\n
• Develop leading indicators and reporting that help leadership act before a problem becomes an escalation.
\n
• Translate complex operational and financial information into concise, decision-ready recommendations.
\n

Improve Systems & Workflows

\n

\n
• Identify recurring inefficiencies in project workflows, reporting, tools, and processes.
\n
• Build or improve systems that reduce manual work and increase visibility.
\n
• Look for opportunities to automate repetitive reporting, monitoring, reconciliation, and analysis.
\n
• Test improvements within active projects and refine them based on what actually works.
\n
• Create scalable templates, processes, and operating practices from successful solutions.
\n

Use AI & Automation Practically

\n

\n
• Use AI and automation to make project analysis, reporting, forecasting, and workflow management more efficient.
\n
• Experiment with new tools and approaches when they can solve a real operational problem.
\n
• Help move useful AI applications from experimentation into repeatable workflows.
\n
• Apply good judgment about when automation helps—and when human analysis is more important.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

Required

\n

\n
• Experience managing or supporting complex projects, programs, or delivery operations.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of project fundamentals including scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, risk, and change.
\n
• Experience working with project budgets, financial forecasts, burn rates, actuals vs. projections, utilization, or similar financial measures.
\n
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize patterns across operational and financial information.
\n
• Experience creating or using dashboards, reports, KPIs, or project-health metrics to drive decisions.
\n
• Ability to investigate a problem, determine what is actually happening, and recommend a practical response.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when translating detailed information for leadership.
\n
• Comfort working independently in an environment where the answer or process may not already exist.
\n
• Genuine interest in using AI, automation, and technology to improve how work gets done.
\n

• Experience improving project-management or operational workflows.
\n
• Experience with capacity planning, resource forecasting, profitability, margin, or utilization analysis.
\n
• Experience building automated reporting, workflows, dashboards, or data integrations.
\n
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, workflow automation platforms, or similar technologies.
\n
• Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar tools as part of real workflows.
\n
• Experience working across Project/Program Management, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.
\n
• Experience in consulting, professional services, SaaS, technology, education, or another project-based environment.
\n
