Director of Business Development

Business Development Director – Cross-Border Logistics Location: Ideally, Laredo, Texas or DFW Are you a bilingual commercial builder who knows how to create growth, not just manage activity? We are looking for a fluent English/Spanish sales leader who loves building — building customer relationships, building revenue, and building high-performing teams. This is not a role for someone who wants to simply manage reports, review dashboards, and maintain existing accounts. We need a leader who still enjoys being close to the customer, opening doors, developing strategy, and helping a team win. The right person understands cross-border logistics, can communicate effectively with customers and teams on both sides of the border, and wants to help shape the future of a growing organization. Who will thrive here: Is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and comfortable communicating professionally in both languages Has successfully grown revenue in 3PL, transportation, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain solutions Understands U.S./Mexico cross-border logistics, import/export, and the challenges customers face Knows how to build relationships with manufacturers, executives, and key decision makers Enjoys creating a commercial strategy and turning ideas into measurable results Has built, coached, and developed sales teams Leads from the front — selling, mentoring, creating accountability, and driving growth Uses CRM, forecasting, pipeline management, and data to create visibility and results What you’ll own: You will help lead the next stage of commercial growth, including: Building and executing the company’s commercial growth strategy Leading and developing Business Development and Account Management teams Winning new customers while expanding existing strategic relationships Selling customized logistics solutions across transportation, warehousing, distribution, customs brokerage, and cross-border services Partnering closely with operations teams in the U.S. and Mexico to solve customer challenges Creating sales processes, accountability, and structure needed to scale Experience that will help you succeed: Proven success driving new business growth in 3PL/4PL, transportation, logistics, or supply chain solutions Strong understanding of U.S./Mexico cross-border operations Experience selling to manufacturers or industrial customers Experience building and leading commercial teams Ability to operate strategically while staying connected to customers and execution This probably is not the right fit if: You are not comfortable conducting business conversations in both English and Spanish You prefer maintaining accounts over creating new business opportunities You enjoy leadership but no longer want to be customer-facing Your experience is primarily transactional freight sales instead of complex logistics solutions You prefer inheriting an established team instead of building and improving one #J-18808-Ljbffr Risch Results
