Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a full-time Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary school setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with K-5 learners in a dynamic, inclusive classroom environment, starting August 6, 2026, and continuing through the end of May 2027.

You’ll serve as a crucial case manager, specializing in either Math or Literacy, supporting a caseload of approximately 10 students—while teaching and inspiring a classroom of up to 20. Strong leadership skills will be valuable, as you’ll collaborate with and lead a team of 3-4 dedicated paraprofessionals within your classroom. As part of the role, you’ll participate in a virtual panel interview via Google Meets, offering a chance to showcase your passion and expertise to district leaders.

Required experience and qualifications:

• Prior experience working in special education or a related K-5 educational environment
• Ability to specialize in either Math or Literacy within a special education setting
• Demonstrated leadership with paraprofessionals or classroom teams
• High school diploma required; college degree is strongly preferred
• Holds or is eligible for all relevant teaching credentials
• Willingness to undergo a district-conducted background check upon offer acceptance

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing specialized instruction plans and documentation for a caseload of approx. 10 students
• Delivering engaging, adapted Math or Literacy lessons to all students
• Overseeing and guiding paraprofessional staff in daily classroom activities
• Fostering collaboration with families, fellow educators, and support staff
