Project ManagerWaterbury, ConnecticutTrillium Professional is now seeking a Project Manager for direct-hire in Connecticut!Annual salary is up to $130k/yr. Hiring an experienced Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of structural steel fabrication projects from contract execution through final delivery. This is a senior, high-ownership position at the center of operations. Day-to-day, you are the hub: managing submittal cycles, coordinating with engineers and inspectors, driving the shop schedule, tracking material procurement, monitoring job cost, and keeping every stakeholder informed and on time. Engineering, purchasing, QC, production, and the client all run through you.Required -5+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy civil / bridge construction -Direct experience managing infrastructure projects — bridge, highway, or traffic structures -Working knowledge of at least two of the following: AWS D1.1, AASHTO/AWS D1.5, AASHTO LTS -Demonstrated ability to manage 10–15 concurrent projects across a $5M–$10M portfolio without losing the details -Comfort reading and applying technical specifications: AISC standards, AASHTO, state DOT special provisions, and project-specific contract documents -Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, weld symbols, connection details, and fabrication notes -Strong organizational discipline: complete files, no missed deadlines, no surprises -Responsive, direct communication style: you answer quickly, you follow through, and you own your commitments -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project tracking toolsPreferred -Experience working within an AISC-certified fabrication shop (Building, Highway Component, or Simple Bridge) -Familiarity with multiple state agencies and their distinct procedures, special provisions, and inspection cultures -CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) credential or substantial CWI-adjacent field experience -Experience with fabrication ERP/project management platforms (PowerFab, Tekla, or similar) -Background in design-build highway and traffic structures: sign bridges, high-mast poles, signal structures, overhead sign structures -Familiarity with AASHTO material standards, mill cert review, and heat number traceability requirementsTrillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
