Client Overview Vernovis is partnering with a growing and highly successful local Real Estate company to seek a Controller who will join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing the financial processes and reporting for the property management company and a portfolio of multi-family properties, ensuring that senior leadership and owners have access to accurate and timely financial information. What You'll Do Direct, train and supervise accountant position. Manage the accounts payable core processes. Direct and manage the month-end close process. Conduct monthly review and analysis of the balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the portfolio of properties. Participate in the annual budgeting process and monthly variance analysis and reporting. Ensure the on-time settlement of mortgage, escrow and real estate tax payments. Treasury management responsibility – review cash accounts and ensure cash is available for operational needs. Assist Property Managers and Owners by analyzing financial data. Record new loans and refinancing transactions, providelenders with necessary financial statements, evaluates escrow balances, and submit the required paperwork for reimbursement from escrow accounts Prepare construction loan draws and submit to lenders. Work closely with the Director of Finance on forecasting and projects. What Experience You'll Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5 - 8 years of experience Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to provide innovative solutions to challenges and procedure updates Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities What Experience is Nice to Have AppFolio software knowledge Multi-family property management experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Vernovis
