EHS Manager

Overview JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. We are seeking an EHS Manager for our Work Dynamics business to join one of JLL’s key global accounts. As a senior member of the JLL Americas EHS team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing EHS programs across multiple account locations, ensuring employees and subcontractors return home safely and promoting a positive, proactive EHS culture. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Implement Global Work Dynamics EHS strategic objectives, manage and reduce operational risks, and provide guidance on EHS risk management at all levels. Maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations, create and maintain a regulatory compliance register, and ensure building‑related risk assessments are in line with legal requirements and client standards. Develop the account training matrix, manage online training requirements, and provide training on specific topics to account employees while ensuring incidents and near‑misses are captured, managed, and reported. Manage OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping and serve as the Account’s Administrator for the JLL AIMS (Accident & Incident Management System). Foster a Culture of Safety by leading, managing, and developing the Account EHS teams, maintaining operational EHS management structures, and proactively managing client relationships to meet service levels. Lead or support investigations of EHS events, perform root‑cause analysis, track corrective actions, and share lessons learned across account operations. Support the implementation and maintenance of JLL Regional EHS operational controls, ensuring compliance with EHS obligations and the Operational Compliance Program. Implement EHS strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL’s contractors and supply chain vendors, ensuring compliance with JLL Work Dynamics and client EHS standards. Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs in operational environments. Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a relevant field (degree may be waived with >7 years experience or EHS certification). Strong track record of EHS management within Operational Management systems and corporate clients across multiple locations. Experience managing EHS for multiple sites in multiple countries with a deep understanding of the regulatory environment. Appropriate recognized professional EHS qualifications and memberships. Proven record of project management, balancing multi‑site activities and competing priorities. Broad knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations and internationally recognized EHS Management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Experience with management system development, implementation, and auditing, driving compliance and continuous improvement. Experience implementing EHS technology platforms and data management tools across multiple countries and regions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex EHS concepts for diverse audiences. Proven record of making presentations and providing effective training to technical and non‑technical audiences. Ability to interface cooperatively with peers, colleagues, and clients while establishing trust and credibility. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience or hold EHS professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, CRSP) for Senior Manager level positions. Practical knowledge of tools and techniques within a real‑estate environment, managing risk across a complex multi‑site portfolio. Experience problem‑solving EHS issues in a dynamic, diverse environment and implementing risk control systems. An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management, effective in a matrix structure with influence across multiple reporting lines. Strong business acumen and orientation to goals and measurable results, connecting EHS performance to business outcomes. Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills, employing intelligent flexibility for complex challenges. Strong cultural awareness, unwavering ethical standards, and a collaborative approach to team building and client service. Additional Requirements Periodic travel to various operational sites to investigate events or problems, and additional meetings may be required (estimated 40% to 20% travel). Compensation 126,600.00 – 155,000.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
