Chemical Safety and Toxicology Expert for AI Training [Remote]

Apply your chemical safety and toxicology expertise to improve AI systems through rigorous, real-world evaluation of chemical hazards, toxicological risks, and hazardous-substance scenarios. This remote contractor role focuses on strengthening chemical safety evaluation frameworks; prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate data involving chemical safety, toxicological risk, precursor chemicals, and hazardous substances.
• Review, annotate, and provide critical feedback on documents, datasets, and model outputs related to chemical weapons, toxicology, and hazardous materials.
• Contribute expertise on chemical-weapons nonproliferation standards, regulatory protocols, chemical-handling safety operations, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and refine guidance for assessing chemical and toxicological hazards in realistic and hypothetical situations.
• Interpret and explain chemical interactions, exposure risks, and toxicity profiles to support AI training.
• Identify gaps and inaccuracies in chemical safety and toxicology content or model assessments.
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and provide written and verbal clarification or additional context when needed.

• Advanced degree, such as a PhD, MD, JD, PsyD, or relevant master''s degree, in chemistry, toxicology, industrial hygiene, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of specialized experience in chemical-weapons nonproliferation, hazardous-materials handling, toxicological risk assessment, or chemical safety protocols.
• Experience as an independent consultant, policy advisor, response specialist, or safety officer in industry, government, or research settings.
• Expertise in controlled substances, precursor-risk evaluation, or nonproliferation regulatory frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
• Familiarity with chemical safety, hazardous-material management, or toxicology operations standards in high-stakes environments.
• Interest in applying domain expertise to emerging AI technology platforms.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

• $50 to $90 per hour.
