Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 18:45-07:15; 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment or longer, through February 27 end date
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 39-bed surgical unit
• Diverse patient population including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, urology, and vascular surgery patients
• Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs with manager input; block scheduling requests reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• 36 hours of unit orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must complete 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

• Occasional floating within the facility may be required
• Scrubs not provided; navy blue or white scrubs required
• Pre-approved time off up to 7 days (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Strict attendance policy enforced; cancellations may result in contract termination
• Local candidates accepted; rate differential applies for those within 50 miles
