Accounting Manager

Salary: $130000 – $170000 + Bonus + Profit Sharing + Long-Term Incentives A leading organisation within the oil & gas sector is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its growing finance leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established accounting leader who enjoys partnering with the commercial side of the business, developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement in a complex, fast-paced environment. The Opportunity Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will oversee a team of accounting professionals responsible for a commercially focused accounting function. You'll work closely with operations and commercial stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting business growth and ongoing systems and process improvements. This role offers significant visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence both finance and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals. Oversee month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting activities. Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight and support business decisions. Review complex accounting transactions, settlements and contractual activity. Drive process improvements, automation and system enhancements. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Support ongoing integration and transformation initiatives. Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business. About You We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate: Previous Accounting Manager or similar finance leadership experience. Oil & gas industry experience (midstream experience is advantageous but not essential). Strong technical accounting knowledge. Experience leading and developing teams. Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills. A proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders. CPA qualification is beneficial but not essential.
