Receptionist Grand Rapids/Jenison Music School

West Michigan's largest private music lesson school is hiring a full-time front desk team member (38-40 hrs/week) to work at our Grand Rapids location and occasionally at our Jenison location. This Student Service Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of the school Student Experience Manager and Operations Manager. Company pays 100% for vision, dental, and life insurance benefits. Schedule 40 hours per week. Current available work schedule includes Sunday noon-5 and Monday-Thursday 1-9 shifts. Must be willing to work as needed at both locations, nights and weekends required. Job Duties Answer phones with a positive, customer‑focused tone. Manage details and maintain a great memory. Sell our services as the best music lesson experience in West Michigan. Register clients and process paperwork. Handle cleaning duties. Communicate with teachers, staff, and clients. Interact daily with kids and their parents. Provide outstanding customer service to everyone who walks through the Academy doors. Solve scheduling needs for 800 students and more than 40 teachers; high attention to detail and strong communication; experience with Google products preferred. Follow directions, multi‑task, meet deadlines, and achieve monthly registration goals. Independent problem solving. Maintain overall appearance and consistency with Academy image and culture. Ideal Qualifications/Experience Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, medical office, veterinarian office, or salon. Any fast‑paced position with high public interaction. Ideal Traits People person. Excellent memory. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products. Great phone skills. Ability to work independently. Capable of multi‑tasking and handling many details. Strong in managing a fast‑paced environment. Hours: Evening and weekend availability required. Position is open until filled.
