Litigation Associate

An outstanding opportunity is available for a talented 4th-5th year Litigation Associate to join a dynamic and highly regarded Commercial Litigation practice in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience managing key phases of complex, high-stakes commercial disputes, including matters involving brand protection, reputational issues, and business-critical litigation.

This role offers significant responsibility and direct involvement in sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced trial lawyers and clients on challenging and high-profile disputes while benefiting from meaningful mentorship and accelerated professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage written discovery and complex document production.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist with witness interviews and witness preparation.
• Support all aspects of trial preparation, strategy, and courtroom proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and litigation teams on case strategy and execution.
• Effectively manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Active admission to the California Bar.
• Strong experience conducting discovery, researching legal issues, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing witnesses, and taking and defending depositions.
• Exceptional analytical, writing, advocacy, and case-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Comparable law firm and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred.
• Experience with both plaintiff-side and defense-side litigation is a plus.
• Experience in entertainment law, media-related disputes, brand protection, reputational matters, or related areas is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding academic credentials from a recognized law school and a demonstrated record of academic excellence are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $285,000 - $325,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
