Accounts Receivable Specialist, Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Bloomfield, CT | FULLY Onsite
Compensation: $25–$29/hour + bonus Potential
A busy and growing service company in Bloomfield is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing collections, posting customer payments, and keeping accounts receivable activity accurate and up to date.
Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including cash posting and payment application
Handle customer collections and follow up on outstanding balances (commercial mostly)
Research and resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
Maintain accurate customer account records
Communicate with customers regarding invoices, balances, and payment status
Assist with reconciliations and other accounting-related tasks as needed
Support the accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience
Strong collections and cash application/posting experience
Comfortable working independently in a busy environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general accounting practices
