Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments of new and returning clients to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, siblings, and family groups, tackling various issues such as communication difficulties and family member conflicts.

• Providing individual therapy to assess and address personal challenges manifested within family dynamics.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that meet the distinct needs of each client.

• Utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to address concerns including grief and loss, divorce adjustment, blended family issues, and job-related stress.

• Documenting case notes and treatment progress in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients dealing with mental health and psychosocial issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including couples seeking to improve their relationships, individuals grappling with the effects of family conflict, and children or adolescents facing transitional challenges. Your expertise in handling sensitive issues such as separation, blended family adjustment, and mental health disorders will be paramount in guiding clients through complex emotions and behaviors.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential in California.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
