Surgery Scheduler at St. Thomas Surgery Center – Midtown The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling pediatric and adult patients for the surgery center and assists with insurance verification when needed. The Surgical Scheduler must display excellent telephone etiquette as he/she manages calls of utmost importance to providing quality and continuity of individual patient care. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in surgery scheduling and/or medical office. Excellent communication skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent telephone etiquette. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Having the ability to foresee problems. Alertness and adaptability to change in situation. Holds all patient information confidential.
