Assembler I

Talascend is currently seeking an Assembler I for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan .


Overview


The Assembler I role involves assisting in basic manufacturing and cleaning work within a fast-paced production environment. The position provides an opportunity to learn from experienced staff and contribute to vehicle and product assembly processes.


Responsibilities

• Assist a senior assembler with assembling products and sub-components to support vehicle production and other products.
• Support vehicle and material movement in and around the facility.
• Follow electronic build book for assembly instructions.
• Clean and prepare components and vehicles for production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school automotive shop class(es).
• Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient with computer usage.
• Ability to learn and follow written instructions.
• Ability to perform fine hand manipulation.
• Knowledge of tools and their use.
• Ability to focus on details and quality of work.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
