Manager - Finance & Accounting

Role Description

The Manager - Finance & Accounting is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations across R-Cities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end close processes, and high-quality financial information across the organization’s global entities. Working closely with the Finance Lead, the role supports the continued development of a strong, well-controlled finance function and contributes to improving accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.

• Run day-to-day accounting and the monthly close across R-Cities' entities.
• Maintain the general ledger with accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Process accounts payable, receivable, and expenses with correct coding.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close for each entity.
• Manage the financial side of payroll and Employer-of-Records.
• Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and eliminations.
• Conduct multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange treatment.
• Implement internal accounting controls and procedures.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, tax compliance, and annual audit processes.
• Maintain and improve financial systems and controls.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting across the full accounting cycle.
• Working knowledge of either Dutch or US accounting standards.
• Experience coordinating statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits.
• Experience with accounting in organizations that operate internationally.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clear documentation.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.

Requirements

• Familiarity with both the Dutch and US accounting environments.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct or a comparable cloud-based ERP.
• Affinity with R-Cities' mission and values.
