Sr Lead Security Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification and 5+ years of experience in cloud service development and integration, with proficiency in OAuth, SAML, API security, and identity federation
• We have experience building high-performance API-first services and integrating tooling
• We are skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
• We have hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• We are advanced in one or more programming languages, such as C#, C++, Go, Python, or Java
• We have strong knowledge of software application development and technical processes, with deep expertise in one or more technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
• We have extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing
• We can solve design and functionality issues independently with little to no supervision
• We have deep knowledge of protocols, SSL/TLS inspection, traffic interception, and API gateway patterns
• We have demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
• We can review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalate uncertainty, and ensure outcomes align with security, resiliency, and auditability expectations
• Preferred: we have advanced knowledge of SSE, CASB, or SIEM
• Preferred: we have advanced knowledge of API gateway development
• Preferred: we have experience with custom proxy or VPM development

• We provide technical guidance and direction to support our business teams, contractors, and vendors
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• We clarify security requirements across multiple networks to support multi-level security and meet organizational needs
• We work with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business changes during periods of vulnerability
• We act as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas and influence peers and decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies
• We apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within our SDLC and toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation while maintaining traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security expectations
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in our work environment to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, including synthesizing threat assessments, while validating outputs and handling sensitive data appropriately
