• ​This job is a member of the Payroll Operations team within the Finance Division.

• Responsible for timely and accurate processing of assigned employee payroll checks including collection, review, input, edit, output and verification of payroll data.

What you'll do

• Processes payroll data accurately by the required deadline

• Consistently applies company policy and government regulations to all processing

• Maintains the security and confidentiality of all payroll related information

• Reviews audit reports for accuracy and requests corrections as necessary

• Researches team member inquiries and provides solutions as required in a timely manner

• Knowledgeable of labor agreements and applicable processing requirements to specific workforce groups, such as unions

• Organizes and maintains records utilizing special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payments to employees

• Adheres to existing SOX processing maps and requirements

• Assists in special projects, system testing, and other duties as assigned

• Provides training and updates documentation as needed

• Supports the successful completion of all banking inbound and outbound ACH and check payment files as needed

• Communicates all discrepancies to payroll supervisor or department timekeeper as necessary

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​High School diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent training/experience

• 3 years of working in a high volume, multi-state payroll department

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Experience with payroll systems (SAP preferred)

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• ​Above average customer experience and organizational skills

• Ability to work as a team player in a high stress environment

• Use of analytical skills to identify and address potential issues

• Ability to explain and interpret complex payroll information to employees at all levels of the organization

• Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word)
