HRIS Specialist
$31.25 - $40.86 per hourBDA
Location Role based in either Troy, MI or Atlanta, GA; onsite 4 days per week and 1 day remote. Must live within commuting distance to facilitate regular in‑person collaboration. Job Title HRIS Specialist Duties & Responsibilities Onboarding Coordinate global onboarding activities for all new hires, including employment documentation, background checks, I‑9s, and new hire correspondence. Create complete new hire employment files in databases. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure equipment and access points are set up prior to employee’s first day. ATS/HRIS Administration Create user accounts, manage access, and update employee information on HRIS. Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and guide ATS/Onboarding/HRIS users. Collaborate with HR team to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of all personnel data, including employment agreements, compensation, and employment contracts. Complete accurate data entry for payroll administration. Process terminations through HRIS and coordinate with IT for access shutdown and asset recovery. Other Duties Run regular reports to support data analytics, forecasting, and trends, including weekly personnel updates. Perform other HR projects and duties as assigned. Experience Requirements 2+ years of experience in HR Administration. Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business Administration. Must have proven experience working in Workday. Additional experience with ADP Workforce is preferred. Experience with Applicant Tracking and Onboarding Systems preferred (Greenhouse/EMP Trust). Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team. Strong problem‑solving skills. Experience in data input. Job Skills & Traits Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Self‑starter – ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete a high volume of tasks and projects. Loves delivering excellent customer service to internal and external partners. Exceptional written and verbal skills. Ability to pivot at a moment’s notice. Demonstrate excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity. Maintain a high degree of professionalism in dealing with partners. React with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround. Hourly pay range: $31.25 to $40.86 per hour. Compensation is determined based on geographic location, skills, education and experience. Pay transparency is a priority; the range represents the full base salary for this role.
