Industrial Hygienist Internship Summer 2027As an Industrial Hygienist Intern at United Launch Alliance, you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to: be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.Industrial Hygienist Responsibilities & Duties:Conduct workplace hazard assessments and develop plans to control or eliminate hazards.Conduct air monitoring, noise monitoring, and chemical exposure assessments.Educate employees on health and safety issues and conduct regular safety audits.Interpret and apply federal and state regulations related to industrial hygiene and environmental health and safety.Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to implement solutions to health and safety issues.Prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate findings to management and employees.Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!Required Education:At minimum completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment. High School/GEDBasic Qualifications:Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.Role Specific Qualifications:Working towards bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines Proficiency in using industrial hygiene monitoring equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027. Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
