Job Title Automotive Service Manager Location Fort Worth, TX Employment Type Full‑time Annual Salary $40,000.00 Overview The Automotive Service Manager oversees all service operations at the dealership, working closely with the Store Manager to maintain high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The role includes managing a team of service advisors and technicians, scheduling service appointments, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities Write and open repair orders, accurately documenting performance issues and recommended services. Supervise and mentorship for service advisors and technicians, including training, performance evaluations, and coaching. Prioritize and schedule new and unscheduled service calls to meet customer needs. Perform, supervise, or review diagnostic work, test drives, and work on vehicle systems to ensure repair accuracy. Oversee parts ordering, equipment usage, and control of repair shop inventory. Ensure that all service activities comply with safety standards, dealership policies, and regulatory requirements. Report on shop performance metrics, revenue targets, and cost control initiatives to senior management. Communicate with customers regarding service status, costs, and warranty details, providing excellent customer service. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive service management, service writing, or a similar role. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and shop scheduling. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of service staff. Excellent communication, customer‑service, and problem‑solving skills. Basic knowledge of parts management and inventory control. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Where required, certification such as AA (ASE) Master Technician is preferred.
