HVAC Service Manager (Warranty Department)

The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the start-up and warranty operations, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of technicians, handling warranty claims, implementing best practices, and coordinating with vendors and internal departments to improve service efficiency.

Lead, train, and mentor HVAC Start-Up & Warranty Technicians.

Manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warranty procedures.

Oversee the troubleshooting, start-up, and warranty processes for residential HVAC systems.

Ensure all heating & cooling equipment is installed correctly and meets operational standards.

Manage customer warranty claims and service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to stay updated on warranty policies and new technologies.

Track warranty trends and provide recommendations to improve service efficiency and reduce callbacks.

Maintain a database of product registrations, warranty claims, and customer service interactions.

Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and improve overall customer experience.

Provide training and technical support to team members on troubleshooting and service procedures.

Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems.

Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.

High-quality organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of HVAC field experience, including start-up, warranty, and service preferred.

Previous managerial, technical, or sales experience in residential service operations.

EPA Certification: Preferred.

Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Ability to work in attics and confined spaces.

Available for on-call schedules and extended work hours as needed.
