Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify movement patterns and pain sources, creating individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and specialized modalities tailored to each patient's needs.
• Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment strategies when necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention techniques, home care strategies, and wellness practices necessary for lasting recovery.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop cohesive treatment plans that enhance patient care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinic policies.
• Stay informed of advancements in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele suffering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. This role is vital in helping patients regain their independence and return to activities they love, fostering a sense of accomplishment and joy in recovery.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with preferences for those pursuing or holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree from an accredited program.
• At least two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred; however, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Competence in therapeutic techniques, particularly manual therapy and exercise-based interventions.

Preferred Experience

• Prior exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation effectively.
• Experience in collaborative care settings or multidisciplinary teams.
• Continuing education in specialized orthopedic techniques or certifications is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

BodySync PT offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
