School Bookkeeper

Position Title School Bookkeeper – Arnall Middle School $17.76 an hour / 8 hours a day / 220 days Job Description Provide secretarial services for the school principal, administrative staff, and teachers. Perform customary office routines and practices to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school. Maintain teacher/employee attendance reports and clerical files. Comply with any reasonable oral or written directive of the school principal or other appropriate school staff. Answer telephone calls, take messages, and respond to callers' questions appropriately. Maintain the financial records for the school, including processing deposits, purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and preparing checks. Ensure excellent attendance and punctuality. Required Education Minimum high school diploma, with experience or training in secretarial, clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting roles. Required Skills Practical knowledge of business English, general vocabulary, spelling, and modern office practices. Ability to transcribe varied materials and compose routine memoranda and letters. Ability to maintain clerical records. Advanced secretarial skills, including word processing and computer proficiency. Sound interpersonal skills to meet and deal with the general public in an effective and tactful manner. Required Experience Three (3) years acceptable clerical experience, preferably in education. Experience with Infinite Campus preferred.
