Job Description:\n\nSECURITY OFFICER – JOB DESCRIPTIONSpanos Park East – Stockton, CaliforniaPosition Title Security Officer / Community Patrol OfficerSite Spanos Park East – Residential Community, Stockton, CaliforniaPrimary Shift Graveyard Shift: 2200–0600Position Summary The Security Officer is responsible for providing professional security, community patrol, parking enforcement, access control, incident documentation, and safety services throughout Spanos Park East. The officer will conduct vehicle patrols, monitor the five designated communities and city parks, enforce assigned parking procedures, identify and report suspicious activity and property conditions, respond to resident and community concerns, and maintain accurate daily and incident reports. The officer must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while exercising sound judgment, prioritizing personal safety, and following all HammerHead Security and site-specific procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Start-of-Shift Responsibilities Report for duty on time and complete Team Xpress check-in. Complete Viber check-in and confirm communication with Dispatch. Inspect and verify all assigned equipment, keys, site phone, and vehicle. Complete the required vehicle pre-inspection through Samsara. Verify that the Cradlepoint and Jackery connectivity equipment is operational. Conduct the initial vehicle patrol and begin assigned enforcement duties.2. Community Patrol Conduct regular vehicle patrols throughout the property. Patrol all five communities every night: Oak Shores North Oak Shores South Enclave Spanish Bay Glen Oaks Conduct full QR scans at the required patrol locations. Maintain a maximum speed of 10 MPH within the community. Investigate and report suspicious persons, activity, vandalism, theft, property damage, and other unusual conditions. Remove solicitors from the property when appropriate and within assigned duties. Monitor Glen Oaks after-hours park activity. Take timestamped photographs when documentation is required. Maintain a courteous and professional interaction with residents, guests, and vendors.3. City Park Patrol Patrol the two designated city parks during each assigned shift. Use the vehicle spotlight to scan the park areas. Safely approach individuals remaining in the parks after hours when appropriate. Politely request that individuals leave the area after dusk in accordance with city guidelines. Report suspicious or unusual activity to Dispatch and document the activity appropriately.4. Parking Enforcement The officer is responsible for enforcing the assigned community parking requirements. Parking restrictions include: Oak Shores North/South: No street parking. Enclave: No street or alley parking. Spanish Bay: No street parking. Glen Oaks: No street or alley parking. Visitor parking restrictions must be monitored according to the site-specific procedures. Before issuing a violation: Run the vehicle license plate. Review the vehicle's violation history for the previous 180 days. Continue the existing TAG–TAG–TOW sequence when prior violations are identified. Do not restart the violation sequence when prior violations exist.TAG–TAG–TOW Procedure 1st Violation: Yellow Tag 2nd Violation: Yellow Tag 3rd Violation: Red Tag – Tow Eligible For visitor parking: Observe the vehicle for two consecutive nights. If the vehicle remains/returns on the third consecutive night, issue the first warning tag. Continue the required consecutive-night tracking process.5. Parking Violation Documentation For every applicable parking violation, the officer must: Complete the violation notice accurately. Record the date, address, violation type, make, model, color, and license plate. Photograph the license plate. Photograph the violation notice after placement. Take a front-view photograph. Take an additional photograph showing the violation/property context. Ensure all photographs and information are clear and readable. Submit the required information through the designated Google Form.6. Commercial and Non-Standard Vehicle Enforcement Verify vehicles against the Advance Vehicle List before taking enforcement action. Commercial vehicles under the Master Association procedure are subject to tagging only and are not towed under that procedure. Document commercial and non-standard vehicles as required. Submit a separate Incident Report for each applicable non-standard vehicle located in a driveway. Capture required vehicle photographs, including the rear/license plate and side/company logo when applicable. Non-standard vehicles may include: Commercial vehicles and service vans Delivery and box trucks Construction and utility vehicles RVs, motorhomes, and campers Boats and trailers Food/vendor trailers Buses or shuttles Construction machinery/equipment Vehicles on jacks or blocks Pickups with attached trailers Vehicles with loud or modified exhaust systems Heavily modified vehicles or oversized tires7. Towing Procedures Towing is permitted on private streets only and must follow the site's authorization procedure. Obtain required prior approval for a qualifying repeat violation. Contact HammerHead Dispatch to verify towing approval. Use only an authorized tow company as directed by Dispatch. Complete an Incident Report for every tow action taken. Officers must not independently authorize towing outside the established procedure.8. Property and Condition Inspections During patrols, officers must identify and report: Burnt monument sign bulbs Streetlight outages, including the pole number Malfunctioning sprinklers Inoperable vehicles Vehicles parked on lawns or sidewalks Commercial/non-standard vehicles Vandalism or property damage Theft or suspicious conditions Other non-standard or unsafe conditions Private-property issues should be handled from a safe distance. Trespassers should be warned as directed by site procedures, and law enforcement should be contacted when necessary. Public-property issues should not be confronted; they should be reported to Dispatch for documentation.9. Access Control and Gate Monitoring Check entrance, exit, and pedestrian gates during patrols. Verify the condition and operation of access points. Check the Knox Box for emergency access conditions. If an emergency access device is engaged and emergency responders are not present, contact the appropriate Fire non-emergency/Dispatch contact. Photograph and report damaged or unusual gate conditions.10. Resident, Guest, and Vendor Interaction Maintain a professional, polite, and respectful demeanor. Use clear and concise communication. Listen to resident, guest, and vendor concerns. Provide the designated site greeting when answering the site phone. Address security-related concerns within the scope of assigned duties. Document calls, concerns, actions taken, and follow-up in Viber. Officers should not provide explanations or interpretations of HOA policies. Residents should be referred to Common Interest Management for HOA policy questions.11. Emergency Response In an emergency, the officer must: Prioritize personal and public safety. Call 911 when required. Notify HammerHead Dispatch and management. Contact the appropriate client emergency contact according to the escalation procedure. Meet and direct emergency responders when safe to do so. Maintain the assigned post when safe and practical. Document the incident thoroughly in the Incident Report and DAR.12. Crime and Suspicious Activity If criminal activity such as theft, vandalism, loitering, or a vehicle break-in is observed: Do not immediately confront or approach individuals if doing so creates a safety risk. Move to a safe location when the situation appears dangerous. Observe from a safe distance when possible. Call 911 when a crime is in progress or emergency assistance is required. Provide law enforcement with the location, description of individuals/vehicles, license plates when visible, and nature of the activity. Notify Dispatch and management once it is safe. Complete the required Incident Report. Officers are not authorized to detain or pursue suspects.13. Accident Response When responding to an accident: Document the individuals involved and request identification when appropriate. Obtain contact and vehicle information. Take photographs of involved vehicles and any common-area damage. Determine whether airbags deployed, medical assistance is required, or the roadway is blocked. Identify witnesses when possible. For hit-and-run incidents, document the suspect vehicle description, direction of travel, driver description, and possible vehicle damage. Complete the required reports.14. Reporting Requirements The officer is responsible for timely and accurate completion of: Daily Activity Reports (DAR) Incident Reports (IR) Parking violation documentation Google Form submissions Required timestamped patrol photographs Viber updates and pass-down information QR patrol scans Vehicle inspection records Incident Reports must accurately document the Who, What, When, Where, How, and witnesses associated with the incident. All reports are official company documents and must contain factual, accurate information.15. Equipment and Communication The officer is responsible for maintaining and properly using assigned: Company vehicle Company/site phone Keys Cradlepoint Jackery/inverter QR patrol system Viber communication Samsara vehicle inspection system Required reporting applications The officer must check the company phone hourly and remain available for Dispatch communication.16. Vehicle Safety When operating a company vehicle: Follow all applicable California Vehicle Code requirements. Wear a seat belt at all times. Do not use a mobile phone while driving unless using an approved hands-free device. Complete full stops. Do not park on the wrong side of the road or in the middle of the roadway. Do not block driveways or fire hydrants. Avoid unnecessary engine idling. Maintain safe and courteous driving practices.17. Professional Standards The officer must: Report in the complete required uniform. Maintain proper grooming and professional appearance. Remain alert throughout the entire shift. Maintain assigned areas clean and orderly. Remain at the assigned post unless properly relieved. Follow all company and site-specific policies. Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct. Never falsify patrols, QR scans, photographs, timestamps, or reports. Never sleep while on duty. Never tamper with cameras or surveillance equipment.18. Breaks and Accountability Officers must follow company break procedures, including: Required rest breaks. Required meal periods. Accurate recording of break start and end times. Use of designated break areas. Proper coordination of breaks on posts requiring continuous coverage.19. End-of-Shift Responsibilities Before leaving the site, the officer must: Complete the final patrol. Ensure all parking violations and required reports are completed. Submit the required Viber pass-down to Dispatch. Secure keys, phone, and assigned equipment. Complete the vehicle post-inspection. Properly shut down and store the Cradlepoint/Jackery equipment. Complete Team Xpress checkout. Complete Viber checkout. Ensure all important information has been communicated to the incoming officer or Dispatch.Minimum Performance Expectations The Security Officer is expected to consistently demonstrate: Alertness and professionalism. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Accurate patrol and QR scanning compliance. Proper parking enforcement procedures. Accurate and timely reporting. Effective communication with Dispatch and management. Safe vehicle operation. Professional interaction with residents and visitors. Proper handling of emergencies and suspicious activity. Compliance with all company and site-specific policies.
