ARS Recycling Systems  is a global leader in steel abrasive blasting equipment, offering reliable and high-performance systems.

We are currently seeking a full-time Accountant to join our team in Lowellville, OH . You will be responsible for providing accounting and financial support to the Vice President of Finance and assist with the day-to-day financial operations in a build-to-order manufacturing company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting transactions and reports are processed accurately and timely.

Minimum Education or Experience:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years’ experience in accounting required

Competencies Required for this Position:

• Knowledge of AP, AR, and bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Other Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software is preferred.
• Strong math and recordkeeping skills.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in manufacturing, job cost accounting
• Ability to work flexible schedules with workload
• Experience in inventory management and cycle counts
• Ability to continuously improve and develop processes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records.
• Process AP invoices and vendor payments.
• Post and distribute customer invoices.
• Prepare and send monthly AR statements.
• Monitor past-due accounts and perform collections.
• Maintain detailed collection records.
• Post and reconcile cash receipts.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with cash flow reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist with budgets and expense tracking.
• Prepare financial reports and support schedules.
• Maintain accounting files and documentation.
• Maintain monthly driver time records.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist with audits and financial information requests.
• Support accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the VP of Finance.
