Vice President of OperationsThe Vice President of Operations is a senior executive responsible for leading and integrating all aspects of manufacturing operations across VMC Group's facilities. This role drives operational excellence, safety, quality, and on-time delivery while ensuring alignment with strategic growth, customer commitments, and enterprise planning systems. The VP of Operations will oversee production, supply chain coordination, plant performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites. This leader will play a critical role in advancing ERP-enabled operations (Epicor/Kinetic), strengthening S&OP discipline, and scaling manufacturing capacity to support both standard and engineered-to-order product lines.Key Responsibilities Not Limited To:Operational Leadership & StrategyLead end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple sites (production, assembly, fabrication, and support functions)Develop and execute operational strategy aligned with corporate growth, margin, and delivery objectivesEstablish scalable processes to support engineered-to-order and high-mix production environmentsPartner with executive leadership on long-term capacity planning and footprint optimizationProduction & Plant ManagementOversee plant managers and manufacturing leadership teamsEnsure production schedules are executed efficiently and aligned with ERP-driven demand planningDrive improvements in throughput, cycle time, utilization, and on-time delivery performanceImplement standard work and operational KPIs across facilitiesSupply Chain & S&OP IntegrationPartner closely with supply chain and planning leadership to ensure material availability and production alignmentLead and mature Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processesEnsure ERP accuracy and discipline across production, inventory, and scheduling functionsSupport demand-driven planning using Epicor KineticContinuous Improvement & Lean ManufacturingChampion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiativesIdentify and eliminate waste across production and administrative processesDrive standardization across plants while enabling flexibility for custom engineering requirementsLead capital improvement planning and ROI analysis for operational investmentsQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and internal policiesMaintain high-quality manufacturing standards and continuous improvement in defect reductionSupport audit readiness and regulatory compliance across all facilitiesLeadership & Talent DevelopmentBuild and lead high-performing operations teams across multiple sitesDevelop succession plans and strengthen leadership pipeline within operationsPromote a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and performance excellenceFinancial & Performance ManagementOwn operational P&L performance in partnership with finance leadershipManage labor efficiency, overhead costs, scrap, and material utilizationDeliver measurable improvements in EBITDA contribution through operational executionRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations5+ years in senior leadership (Director or VP level) in a multi-site environmentStrong experience in engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing environmentsProven expertise in ERP-driven operations (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems)Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience leading S&OP or IBP processes in a manufacturing settingKey CompetenciesStrategic operational leadershipData-driven decision makingStrong financial acumen (P&L ownership)ERP and systems-driven execution mindsetCross-functional collaboration (Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales)Change management and transformation leadershipHands-on leadership style with ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levelsAt VMC Group and companies we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
