Salary: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 - Competitive base plus performance incentive opportunities

Position Summary: 

Collision Partners is conducting a national search for a proven General Manager to lead one of the country’s premier independent collision repair businesses. The location has benefited from significant investment in state-of-the-art production technology, OEM-specific tooling, diagnostics, EV and ADAS capabilities, and technician training, and holds an exceptional portfolio of manufacturer certifications spanning luxury, premium, electric, and technologically advanced vehicle brands. It serves a discerning customer base and benefits from longstanding relationships across the dealership and OEM communities – the physical and technical platform is already exceptional, with meaningful capacity and growth opportunity remaining.

The General Manager will effectively serve as the CEO of the local business, with full responsibility for its people, culture, financial performance, operations, customer experience, market position, dealer and OEM relationships, and long-term growth. The business repairs sophisticated luxury, premium, exotic, and electric vehicles where craftsmanship, technical discipline, OEM procedures, and attention to detail are fundamental to the value proposition, and customers expect a level of communication, professionalism, discretion, and service commensurate with the vehicles being repaired.

This is an opportunity for an extraordinary operator to lead an extraordinary asset. The GM must be equally comfortable walking a production floor, reviewing a P&L, recruiting a high-performing leader, resolving an escalated customer issue, meeting with the principal of a luxury dealership, and hosting an OEM representative – someone who sees the opportunity to build an exceptional business and feels compelled to find out how good it can become.

Collision Partners intends to hire the General Manager in advance of assuming full responsibility for this location. During that period, the incoming GM will complete a structured pre-start immersion of several weeks at our Hickory, NC shop, working directly alongside an experienced leadership team across production, repair planning, OEM-certified repair processes, quality control, customer experience, talent development, and dealer and OEM relationship management. The goal is to give the incoming GM firsthand exposure to the operating disciplines and standards that define an exceptional collision repair business, and to build relationships across Collision Partners before stepping into the role.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Own the location’s full P&L, including revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, parts margins, and overhead, and achieve or exceed budgeted revenue, gross profit %, and EBITDA targets.

• Drive performance against financial and operational targets using weekly and monthly KPI reviews (sales per RO, WIP, close ratio, CSI, AR aging, profitability) to identify variances and ensure timely corrective action, without letting any single KPI compromise repair quality or customer experience.

• Be accountable for repair planning and estimating outcomes, including complete documentation, adherence to OEM procedures, and timely resolution of supplements and payment issues.

• Set and uphold an uncompromising standard for repair quality and OEM compliance on sophisticated luxury, premium, exotic, and electric vehicles, ensuring financial, carrier, cycle-time, or production pressure never compromises required repair operations.

• Drive revenue growth and conversion performance, engaging estimating or technical support resources when audits, carrier disputes, or complex repair-planning issues require additional expertise.

• Ensure effective production planning and workflow management so repairs move efficiently, bottlenecks get addressed, and vehicles are completed correctly to the standard this clientele expects.

• Protect and strengthen the location’s OEM certifications by partnering with Collision Partners’ technical resources to keep equipment, tooling, and audit requirements current.

• Be accountable for safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, state regulations), including proper handling of hazardous materials.

• Lead local market development and key external relationships – luxury dealerships, OEM representatives, referral partners, and insurance carriers – representing the business with the polish and commercial judgment sophisticated partners expect.

• Be accountable for customer satisfaction at or above company benchmarks, personally resolving escalated complaints, and setting the standard for customer communication from initial inquiry through delivery.

• Create a culture that attracts and retains exceptional collision-repair professionals; build leadership depth beneath the GM so the business can perform at a high level without the GM personally solving every problem.

• Build and retain a high-performing team: set clear expectations, create accountability, develop people, and address performance issues, entitlement, or bad behavior directly and promptly.

• Translate direction from regional leadership into action at the shop level, championing it as your own – there is no “corporate” and “the shop,” only one team building one business.

• Exercise sound judgment and act with urgency; resolve issues at the lowest appropriate level and proactively engage regional, technical, and support resources rather than letting problems linger.

• Ensure effective performance management and staffing, partnering with HR and recruiting to attract, select, onboard, and retain the team the operation requires.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of advanced experience in collision repair, automotive service, or related operations.

• 3+ years in a leadership role with direct P&L exposure or full P&L responsibility.

• Strong financial acumen, including experience interpreting shop-level P&Ls and operational KPIs.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team of technicians, estimators, and support staff.

• Working knowledge of industry estimating platforms (CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex) and shop management systems.

• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations governing collision repair operations.

• Strong professional communication, written and oral, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Willingness to be based full-time in Florida.

• Willingness to travel and train for several weeks at our Hickory, NC shop as part of onboarding.

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test, if applicable. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred:

• Leadership experience within a high-end, luxury, exotic, EV, or heavily OEM-certified collision repair environment.

• Experience managing a large, complex collision operation with meaningful revenue and employee responsibility.

• Demonstrated success developing relationships with luxury or premium dealerships and/or OEM representatives.

• I-CAR Platinum, ASE certification, OEM certification experience, or equivalent demonstrated technical competency.

• Experience in a multi-shop operator (MSO) environment.
