What You'll Do

• Provide specialized care to pediatric patients with acute and critical conditions, including MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-surgical patients
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation agents, and pain drips
• Perform PIV, CVL, telemetry monitoring, wound care, drains, and wound vac management
• Collect peripheral blood samples and manage complex IV therapies
• Collaborate with hospitalist, intensivist, RTs, and other team members to deliver seamless patient care
• Float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele units if trained and approved
• Follow hospital protocols and EMR documentation (Meditech Expanse)

What You Need

• Required: Valid RN license, minimum 2 years PICU experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, pass an EKG competency exam, PIV skills, ability to titrate critical medications
• Preferred: Cross-training for ICU/Med/Tele, experience with neuro, ortho post-op, and adult float; NRP certification

About the Assignment
This assignment is based in a well-equipped, pediatric-focused ICU with occasional adult cases. The unit is known for being traveler-friendly with a family-oriented culture, offering top-tier patient care in a supportive environment. The hospital provides orientation, followed by two shifts on the unit, with every other weekend rotation and work on 2-3 holidays. You will work four days one week and three the next, with flexible time-off options after approval.
