What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care for complex cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases such as TAVR, MitraClip, and more
• Circulate, scrub, and monitor patients during procedures, demonstrating proficiency in sterile technique and critical patient assessment
• Administer vasoactive drugs, sedation, and manage critical care needs during procedures
• Support on the unit, including coordinating with charge nurses and anesthesia teams
• Operate advanced imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems (e.g., Philips imaging, Merge monitors)
• Float between facilities as needed, covering Willis Knighton Medical Center, Pierremont, and Bossier City campuses
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including proper documentation and equipment operation

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience, with relevant cath lab background within the past year
• Ability to scrub, monitor, and circulate in complex cardiac procedures
• Valid driver's license for floating between facilities

Preferred:

• Experience with Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, thrombectomy devices, Impella, VADs, and pacemaker support
• Strong critical thinking, sterile technique, and patient assessment skills
• Comfort with advanced cardiac imaging and interventional procedures

About the Assignment
This assignment involves working in a high-acuity Cath Lab environment performing complex interventional cardiology procedures. The RN will float between multiple facilities, providing flexible, vital support for a variety of cardiac and vascular cases. Orientation includes a week at the Innovation Center and up to a week of precepting. Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, with rotating call responsibilities including overnight shifts and every third weekend.
