What You'll Do:

• Provide skilled RN support in complex cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases such as TAVR, MitraClip, peripheral interventions, and neuro procedures.
• Float between Willis Knighton Pierremont and Willis Knighton Bossier hospitals, supporting both facilities' cath lab teams.
• Assist with cardiac and peripheral vascular cases, administering vasoactive drugs, sedation, and critical patient assessments.
• Scrub, monitor, and circulate during procedures, utilizing advanced equipment such as Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, and laser atherectomy systems.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety throughout high-acuity interventions.
• Support unit operations as needed, including patient monitoring and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR.

What You Need:

• Required:
  • RN license in Louisiana or state reciprocity
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Valid driver's license for facility floatation
  • 3+ years of RN experience, with 1.5+ in cath lab within the last year
  • Ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor complex cardiac cases
  • Experience with vasoactive drugs, sedation, and critical care assessments
• Preferred:
  • RCIS certification
  • Experience with Merge hemodynamic systems, Philips imaging, and ancillary cath lab equipment

About the Assignment:

This contract position places you in a busy, high-acuity cath lab supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. You'll be part of a dedicated team performing cutting-edge procedures like TAVR, MitraClip, and neuro interventions, contributing to patient recovery in a fast-paced environment. The assignment involves floating between facilities and participating in a rotation schedule that includes call and weekend work. Orientation includes one week at the Innovation Center and precepting as needed.
