Payroll Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of Vice President of Accounting performs accounting and bookkeeping duties as assigned. Is responsible for an accurate semi-monthly federal contract payroll and accuracy of other fiscal records as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Some college accounting courses preferred. Two years bookkeeping experience may substitute college courses.
• At least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to pass background screening
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Possess a working telephone (this requirement reflects the fact that many positions rely on a timekeeping application to record work hours)
• Must be knowledgeable in bookkeeping and clerical procedures and in the operation of office equipment.
• Must be able to work accurately with numbers.
• Must be able to type accurately.
• Experience in using computer systems is highly desirable particularly Microsoft Office products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English well
• Must be able to accurately complete payroll for approximately 105 people within 4 days of the end of pay cycle. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to balance, climb, bend, stoop, reach, and kneel
• Have use of arms, hands, and fingers
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Walk, stand and/or sit for at least eight hours a day
