Job Description

Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $247 - $266/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide outpatient cardiology services to adult and geriatric patient populations • See an average of 14-16 patients per day in a clinic setting • Work approximately 4-5 days per month, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm • Practice independently as the sole cardiologist on site, supported by family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery, ED, and hospitalist teams • Maintain current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross • Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for clinical documentation and charting • Provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months • Obtain and maintain valid Alaska (AK) state licensure and/or IMLC licensure • Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements with no exemptions • Adhere to all applicable facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
