Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director

As Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director at Drax, you will lead end‑to‑end performance improvement across our energy manufacturing and production assets. You’ll design and deliver strategies to optimize plant reliability, throughput, and cost while supporting Drax’s mission of a zero‑carbon, lower‑cost energy future. Partnering with operations, engineering, and supply chain, you’ll use data‑driven insights, Lean/Six Sigma, and best‑practice manufacturing methods to improve efficiency from fuel sourcing through power delivery. You’ll oversee complex optimization projects, mentor cross‑functional teams, and report outcomes to senior leadership in a culture that values sustainability, inclusion, and responsible energy use.
