Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have a variety of responsibilities crucial to patient care and rehabilitation:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients, utilizing your clinical expertise to establish comprehensive treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings effectively with patients and their families, ensuring they understand the treatment plan and are involved in goal-setting processes.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to patient presentations while adapting to the evolving healthcare environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in alignment with best practices, outlining the patient's course of care, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Demonstrate initiative in modifying treatment plans in response to changes in a patient's condition and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinic operations, patient care strategies, and departmental goals.
• Engage with patients through marketing initiatives that promote health and wellness within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be servicing a range of patients, primarily those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our clients vary in age and capabilities, and you will play a critical role in their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is a plus.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with patients and deliver excellent customer service.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not strictly required, candidates with internship or clinical experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting will be given preference. Familiarity with computerized documentation and scheduling systems is beneficial.
