Intern - Research - Oncology Biomarker - AI

Gilead Sciences seeks an intern to apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to oncology biomarker research. The role involves analyzing multi-modal clinical datasets, developing analysis pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify predictive signatures in cancer treatment response.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data from translational biomarker projects in oncology research
- Contribute to biomarker research initiatives with cross-functional teams
- Participate in biomarker strategy and clinical study discussions
- Develop data visualizations and communicate scientific findings clearly
- Present project results and deliver final presentation to research community
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. university
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at application and hire
- Independent work authorization in the United States (no sponsorship required)
- Ability to commit to 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August
- Willingness to work on-site hybrid at Foster City location
- Age 18 or older at internship start
Compensation: $20.00 - $55.00 hourly; benefits include paid holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees
