Registered Nurse - Inpatient Acute Dialysis

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. This position involves administering prescribed medications and treatments, documenting according to standards of care, and developing individualized patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and standards.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities within the department or unit.
• Offer clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of patient care.
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and escalate issues as needed.

Schedule

This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week with an every other weekend and rotating holiday schedule. There is an on-call component that averages 3-4 days per month, including one weekend per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• AHA Provider level BLS and ACLS certifications are required prior to start.
• Experience in an acute dialysis setting preferred.
