Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, evaluating their physical limitations and functional mobility needs.
• Design and implement tailored treatment programs that align with patients' individual goals and rehabilitation journeys.
• Provide hands-on therapy for a caseload of up to 7 patients per day, focusing on enhancing mobility and strength.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, progress achieved and the pathway forward, fostering engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation for each therapy session, adhering to legal and organizational standards.
• Actively participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with evolving treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team specializes in rehabilitating patients recovering from a variety of conditions, including post-operative orthopedic cases, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. By utilizing patient-centered treatment plans, our Physical Therapists are integral in guiding patients through their recovery journey, helping them to regain confidence and autonomy in their everyday activities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New York State Physical Therapist License.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate degree.
• Two years of relevant experience working as a Physical Therapist in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
