Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, adhering to safety policies.
- Prepare patients for CT imaging and explain the procedure; perform IV insertions when necessary.
- Position patients and utilize safe patient handling to accommodate mobility limitations.
- Conduct CT scans with appropriate protocols; ensure image quality and patient safety; coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging.
- Document all required exam details in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure images are correctly sent to PACS upon exam completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility and uphold infection control practices.

Requirements
- NYS licensure as Radiologic Technologist (must be obtained prior to starting)
- Injection therapy certification listed on NYS license at submission (or willingness to complete during orientation)
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (active/maintained)
- Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience; Level I Trauma Center experience; Telemetry; Siemens scanner experience (6 months); Epic experience highly desired

Education
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
