Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting

- On-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed per unit

Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; adhere to department policy for patient safety.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and ensure appropriate study per orders.
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and address questions to help them feel at ease.
- Insert IVs when necessary for contrast administration; monitor for patient safety during injections.
- Position patients for CT exams, including safe handling of patients with limited mobility.
- Document all required information in EPIC and ensure images are transferred to PACS accurately after exams.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning facility and operate equipment per standard procedures.

Requirements
- NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
- Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification (Radiography) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years’ CT experience; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Siemens scanner experience required (minimum 6 months)
- Injection certification preferred but must be willing to complete during orientation
- Epic experience is highly desired (about 1 year)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma-oriented environment
