Work Environment

This onsite position is situated within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Pleasantville, New Jersey, known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to excellence. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists (OTs), and speech-language pathologists (SLPs), to provide comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, interpreting medical histories, diagnostic tests, and functional status to formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Create, implement, and adjust individualized treatment programs based on physician orders, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, providing guidance on treatment techniques and patient interactions to ensure quality care.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of intervention programs and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration and communication with other healthcare professionals, patient families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Contribute to maintaining productivity standards and enhancing workplace culture through positive leadership and teamwork.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Active Life Therapists, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of physical challenges due to injuries, surgeries, chronic conditions, or disabilities. Your role will include designing interventions that cater to patients across various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring that each plan is developmentally appropriate and focused on maximizing independence and functional mobility.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and clinical documentation software.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, with a focus on rehabilitation.
• Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital or rehabilitation environment.

Compensation and Benefits
