Job Description and Duties
Under direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II performs work in a wide variety of complex difficult and analytical administrative staff service assignments. The Analyst II is responsible for procurement using Fi$CAL, Human Resources document preparation, public records requests, facilities liaison, and equipment management duties for the Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board (OSHAB) and will provide consultative services to management; make recommendations for procedure and policy improvements; effectively maintain a routine workload and regularly respond to short and long-term assignments; meet legal, regulatory and internal deadlines on all assignments; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and develop and maintain the knowledge and skills related to specific tasks, materials, tools and equipment.

Working Conditions
This position is located at: 2520 Venture Oaks Way, Suite 300, Sacramento, CA 95833.
This position is located in the Natomas area of Sacramento, in a temperature-controlled office environment with artificial lighting in a commercial office building. This is a permanent position with the Appeals Board. The incumbent is expected to work full time Monday through Friday. Incumbent will work at a cubicle desk and is required to work extensively on a computer as necessary. The office is located in a quiet neighborhood near to downtown, and features free parking and easy freeway access. Restaurants, gas, banking and shopping are nearby.Special Requirements

The Analyst II is expected to: function in a demanding, fast paced environment; maintain consistent and regular attendance and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave and usage; develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, staff and outside parties; complete assigned work on time, review work for accuracy and maintain confidential data; keep supervisor informed of problems and provide possible solutions; show initiative and take responsibility for their work; exercise good judgment and tact.
Desirable: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint);
