Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at Foundation Orthopedics, you will be working primarily onsite in our rehabilitation facility. Our environment is collaborative and encourages teamwork among healthcare professionals, creating a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the development and implementation of physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and maximizing functional performance in accordance with each patient's unique capabilities.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring that care plans are executed effectively.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to drive accurate treatment strategies.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation, providing recommendations to enhance patient independence in daily living activities.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and offer guidance on functional activities, motivating clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Implement various therapeutic techniques, such as traction, massage, and the application of physical agents.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians.
• Document patient progress through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and evaluate the client's holistic treatment plans and outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on physical therapy devices and their personalized therapy programs.
• Complete all necessary documentation and clinical records on time, adhering to organizational policies.
• Accompany physical therapy assistants during patient treatments, ensuring compliance with state laws and best practices.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated on the latest physical therapy techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, is preferred for accurate documentation.
