Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' needs through comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic tests, utilizing your orthopedic expertise to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement therapy programs and treatment regimens designed to alleviate pain, restore function, and enhance mobility, ensuring adherence to professional standards and safety guidelines.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants and technicians, providing instruction and support to ensure high-quality care across all therapeutic modalities.
• Utilize advanced orthopedic physical therapy techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to revise treatment plans as necessary, actively participating in patient case discussions and progress evaluations.
• Maintain accurate, thorough patient documentation, comply with facility policies, and fulfill regulatory requirements to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Encourage patient engagement in their rehabilitation process by educating them and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and rehabilitation exercises necessary for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide exceptional orthopedic care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and elderly individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries related to musculoskeletal conditions. You will also cater to specialized pediatric cases when necessary, utilizing age-appropriate approaches to therapy that account for the unique needs of younger patients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy program, with a focus on orthopedic therapy.
• Active state licensure in physical therapy, ensuring compliance with regulations specific to New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating a strong foundation in evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, and intervention methodologies.
• CPR certification is preferred, in line with facility protocols.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling collaboration with diverse patient demographics and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with familiarity in treatment protocols specific to post-operative recovery.
• Proficiency in using advanced rehabilitation technologies and therapy modalities to enhance patient care.
• Training or certifications in specialized orthopedic techniques, such as dry needling or sports rehabilitation, would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
