Job Details Job Location: Bethany Campus - Bethany, OK 73008 Position Type: Staff Full‑Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Job Summary The Financial Services Assistant is a dual‑function role responsible for the input of student data and initial financial enrollment. This position manages the enrollment of new undergraduate students in a payment plan and serves as a front‑line cashier for the Business Office. The primary purpose is to ensure high‑level customer service for new, incoming students while providing professional, accurate processing of university funds and student account payments. Responsibilities Enroll new undergraduate students in a payment plan with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Process payments for tuition, fees, and other university income via cash, check, and credit card; manage the distribution of student refund checks. Directly manage CRM data accuracy, including information collected at college fairs, church events, and on‑campus recruitment activities. Accurately balance the daily cash drawer and prepare bank deposits in accordance with university financial policies. Process transcripts and other essential documentation for new applicants to ensure timely admissions decisions. Provide professional communication and assistance to prospective students and parents regarding both application status and billing/payment plan inquiries. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Ability to work independently. Ability to operate office equipment. Ability to provide quality customer service. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. High school graduate. Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast‑paced work environment. Typing and spelling competency. Experience with various computer software applications. Data entry experience. Preferred Qualifications Some college coursework. Experience in higher education admissions or financial services. Specific experience with Colleague/Banner systems. Supervision Received Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction. Supervision Exercised May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
