The Role This is a deliberately broad, generalist role for someone who wants exposure to every part of how a small private equity firm actually runs. As an Associate, you will sit at the center of the firm and wear many hats — analyzing potential investments, sourcing and building relationships, and keeping the engine of the firm running day-to-day. It is a true jack-of-all-trades seat, best suited to a driven, resourceful person who is energized by variety and ownership rather than a narrow, specialized track. Because we are a lean team, the person in this seat has an outsized impact on how we operate. We are looking for someone who is genuinely fluent with modern AI tools and, more importantly, enjoys using them — someone who instinctively reaches for AI to draft, analyze, research, and automate, and who takes real satisfaction in building efficient, repeatable workflows that make the whole firm faster and sharper. You will have the latitude to reshape how work gets done here and be a driving force behind our next stage of growth. What You’ll Do Your responsibilities will span three broad areas: Investment Analysis Build / maintain financial models and analyze the operating and financial performance of acquisition targets. Support due diligence across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams, coordinating with lenders, advisors, and management teams. Prepare investment memoranda, valuation analyses, and other materials for the team. Track portfolio-company performance and help prepare reporting for internal use and investors. Business Development & Sourcing Identify and research acquisition targets and consolidation opportunities within our focus sectors. Build and manage the deal pipeline, including outreach to founders, owners, brokers, and intermediaries. Maintain the CRM and market maps, and help develop the systems that keep our sourcing organized and consistent. Support relationship-building with the network of bankers, advisors, and operators who bring us opportunities. Firm Operations & Administrative Support Handle a range of administrative and operational tasks that keep the firm running smoothly, from scheduling and document management to coordinating processes. Design and implement AI-enabled workflows and templates that reduce manual effort across analysis, sourcing, and reporting. Take ownership of ad hoc projects as they arise — the kind of person who sees what needs doing and does it. Who You Are 2+ years of experience , ideally in investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, accounting, or a related analytical field. Exceptional candidates from other backgrounds will be considered. Strong analytical and financial skills , with comfort building models and working through financial statements. Genuinely AI-fluent and enthusiastic about it — you already use AI tools in your daily work and enjoy finding new ways to apply them to build efficient, repeatable workflows. A true generalist temperament — you like variety, take ownership, and are equally willing to model a deal, cold-call a founder, or fix a broken process. Resourceful and self-starter , comfortable with ambiguity and able to figure things out without a playbook. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , and the judgment and discretion to represent the firm well with founders, advisors, and investors. High integrity and a people-first mindset , aligned with how we work and win together. Based in or willing to relocate to the Jacksonville Beach area ; this is a full-time, in-office / hybrid role.
